My name is Jennifer Kathryn Orsatti. I was born on December 16, 1991 in Mississauga, Ontario. Growing up in Mississauga provided me with the best childhood I could have ever dreamed of – playing outside, involved in sports, best neighbourhood friends, and so much more.
Grade 6 was a huge turning point in my life – I was involved in a very serious car accident – it was a hit and run, leaving me permanently injured. That accident changed my life…it held me back a few years, but I have been told by all of my family and friends that I have had an amazing, fast recovery. I am an extremely independent, determined person and have been extremely focused on succeeding and becoming the person I want to be. I have been featured in an article in Today’s Parent in 2009 – so I am able to share the obstacles I have been faced with and have overcame for people who may be in the same situation.
I could not be more proud of where I am now. I chose to attend my post secondary education in Kingston, Ontario at St. Lawrence College. I am currently enrolled in my third, and final year here in the Advertising Integrated Marketing Communications program where I have had an amazing experience.
I know I will succeed in this program, and will obtain a job that I will excel at and enjoy. I am destined to succeed in life, it hasn’t been easy, but I have never stopped trying. and I never will.
